About this release
Hardcore Traxx follows Dance Mania’s development from the house and acid records of the 1980s to Chicago’s stripped-back ghetto house sound in the 1990s. Compiled by Conor Keeling in collaboration with the label, the double LP brings together twelve recordings, from Hercules’s “7 Ways” and Victor Romeo’s “Love Will Find A Way” to DJ Deeon’s “Da Bomb” and Traxmen & Eric Martin’s “Hit It From The Back”. Paul Johnson, Parris Mitchell and DJ Funk also feature. This Strut repress includes a history of the label, artist interviews by Chrissy Murderbot and archival photographs.
