About this release
Vick Lavender returns to Daybreakers with Essential Traxx Vol. 3, bringing his jazz and soul influences into two deep house cuts. Atmosphere pairs rolling drums with a deep bassline, keeping the rhythm purposeful while leaving room for the musical detail around it. On the flip, There It Is features DMillz and takes a more patient route through lush chords and soulful touches. The contrast gives the record a clear shape: direct movement on one side and a deeper, more reflective mood on the other. Both draw on Lavender’s work as a musician as much as his experience behind the decks.
