Work The Peripherals (WTP) - Like Lava

Work the Peripherals follows four self-released EPs with Like Lava, a debut album for Companion. Nine tracks move through ambient trance, house and techno, using deep basslines, muted breaks and restrained percussion within spacious electronic textures. The release draws on the 1990s sounds of Robert Leiner, Speedy J and Index ID, with each piece conceived as part of a connected journey. Muzak opens the sequence, followed by Atmospheres and Ascending; Liquid Air, Lakeforgot and End Transmission bring the second side to its conclusion. It is an album built around gradual movement and an immersive sense of space.
