About this release
Freed From Desire returns in Gala’s 2024 re-recording, paired with Diplo’s extended mix on the reverse. First released in Italy in 1996, the song draws on a Buddhist idea of moving beyond constant desire and finding freedom in principles rather than possessions. The updated main version keeps close to the original song, while Diplo gives it a more forceful club arrangement. Ministry Of Sound Recordings and B1 Recordings present these two versions together, connecting Gala’s new performance with a separate remix treatment. This pressing is on transparent red vinyl.
