About this release
Khruangbin revisit their debut album with ten newly recorded versions, returning to Mark Speer's family barn on 4–6 January 2025, ten years after the original sessions. Recorded live in the same space, The Universe Smiles Upon You II lets the trio approach familiar material with a decade of playing together behind them. The sequence changes too, bringing Bin Bin into the centre and moving Little Joe And Mary to the opening. This black double-vinyl edition comes in an uncoated reverse-board gatefold with a printed inner sleeve, photographs from the sessions and an interview about the recording process.
Format: 2 x black vinyl LP, gatefold sleeve
Label: Dead Oceans
