'Music They Love'... we ask DJ's and producers to delve into their collection and put together a selection of records that have meant a lot to them in the past, as well as the present. All things inspirational and influential - the records which have shaped their sound as a producer or selection as a DJ.
This week we are joined by renowned producer, DJ and educator Tony Nwachukwu who's provided us with a banging mix of broken beat and deep house cuts from his collection. Tony was a founding member of the iconic trip hop band Attica Blues and has also released solo projects under many monikers, one such being NEPA Allstar whose diverse production and remix credits include The Cinematic Orchestra, Jazzanova, Duran Duran and U.N.K.L.E.
Tony is also the founder of CDR, a community-focused music education platform, formally based in the legendary Plastic People. CDR's mission is to demystify music production and provide knowledge to new creators. Over the years musicians such as Dego, Theo Parrish, object blue, Joe Armon-Jones and many more have shared their knowledge with the CDR community, at events in London, Berlin, Toronto and beyond, as well as online and at festivals such as Brainchild and We Out Here.
