About this release
Keni Burke’s third solo album was recorded at Philadelphia’s Sigma Sound Studios and first released by RCA in 1982. Changes places his bass playing and songwriting within arrangements that combine live drums, keyboards, horns and percussion. Steve Ferrone supplies drums, with Dean Gant, Doc Gibbs and Vince Montana among the other players. Risin’ To The Top anchors the second side, following One Minute More, while Shakin’ and Hang Tight establish the opening run. Be With’s reissue presents all eight tracks, with mastering by Simon Francis, a cut by Cicely Balston and restored artwork for this edition.
