About this release
Freestyle reissues Got To Know, a 1988 recording by British street soul group Pause. The project grew from lovers rock outfit The Administrators, with Hugh Pomells recalling a wish to take their music in another direction. Vocalist Sinclair, later associated with releases on Dome, was also part of the group. Got To Know followed the earlier single It’s Just Amazing, bringing a smoother soul approach to their small catalogue. Originally self-released in limited quantities, the record returns here as an officially licensed twelve-inch. The Dance Mix and Cool Mix share the single, preserving its two-version presentation.
