Swamp Children - Taste What's Rhythm

Manchester’s Swamp Children moved between jazz, funk and experimental pop with an ease that made them difficult to categorise. Taste What’s Rhythm, originally released on Factory Benelux in 1982, captures that approach across three tracks, with You’ve Got Me Beat and Softly Saying Goodbye completing the EP. For this 2023 reissue, Be With worked with Factory Benelux custodian James Nice to obtain the original tapes, with Simon Francis handling the remastering. The record is cut at 45rpm and pressed on 140g vinyl, housed in Be With’s disco sleeve for a straightforward return to the original programme.
