Fruit Distro Collective - Some Kind Of Wisdom

Some Kind Of Wisdom grew alongside preparations for fatherhood, as Fruit Distro Collective’s home studio expanded to accommodate drums, percussion, Fender Rhodes and synthesizers. The record links that new creative space with thoughts about the lessons a parent might pass on: questions of identity, balance and how to keep reconsidering what we know. Its musical starting points are jazz composition, hip-hop drum sounds and percussion drawn from Afrobeat and Afro-Latin styles. Released jointly by Dopeness Galore and Records We Release, the double LP follows eight pieces from 'Wisdom Says I Am Nothing' to 'What’s Your Manifesto?'.
