Harald Lassen - Balans

Balans brings together Harald Lassen’s work as saxophonist, pianist and songwriter. His fourth album opens with the exchange between saxophone and band on Liturgi / Leave Me Be, then closes with the piano-led Impromptu Wonder, surrounded by forest sounds and electronic detail. Across seven pieces, improvisation and song form remain in conversation, with a bittersweet mood that leaves space for warmth and connection. Following Human Samling, the record draws on Lassen’s broad experience in Norwegian jazz, pop and experimental music while keeping the focus on his own writing and the musicians’ responses to it.
