About this release
Sounds From The Far East gathers early-1990s recordings associated with Soichi Terada's Far East Recording label, selected by Hunee for Rush Hour. Terada's melodic house productions sit alongside work by Shinichiro Yokota and a collaboration with Manabu Nagayama. The programme includes Do It Again, Sun Showered and Low Tension, tracing the relationship between Japanese studio production and the US house records that influenced the label. Across twelve tracks, the collection balances keyboard melodies, sampled textures and club rhythms. This 2025 edition comes on double vinyl, packaged with a revised cover, an obi strip and printed inner sleeves.
