Killer 5th release from Tokyo-based uber imprint City-2 St. Giga, with Russian producer Burago debuting with the Untitled LP. A-side runs through a whole side of deeeep, gauzy house flavours with frayed cymbals and dubbed-out steel drum licks, a real tripped out cut. Flip side boasts a blissed-out field recording piece, cracking waves, thunder and a general heady nature vibe, followed up by a bouncier, micro-house indebted and altogether more playful, crystalline house cut that nods to the more approachable back-cat xones of Farben, Twerk ++. Manufactured to eye-wateringly high standards by Toyo Kasai with OBI and critically limited. (mint / new)
