About this release
4am Kru and Layla Sibelle follow a relationship from its first rush of excitement through disappointment and separation on Love On The Line. Sibelle leads the seven-track EP, bringing a more vulnerable perspective to the London crew's jungle and drum and bass sound. Rush captures the anticipation of a new connection, while Boy turns towards the hurt of being let down and Hush Now brings the story to its ending. Across the record, the focus on songwriting and emotional detail sits alongside the rhythms of 4am Kru's club productions, linking the tracks as stages of one unfolding relationship.
