About this release
Contours pairs Abby Echiverri and Clay Wilson on Acid Camp, with each producer taking a side of the record. Wilson opens with Interdimensional Romance, drawing together acid-house influences and a science-fiction atmosphere, before Nightride follows with a softer, more relaxed approach and a subtle 1990s feel. Echiverri’s Chaos Terrain sends panned synths through layers of modulation, while Roche Lobe closes in a more spacious mood. Across the EP, pressure and pacing matter as much as the machines themselves: the arrangements leave room for restraint and detail, treating acid as a flexible musical language that can reach beyond the busiest moments of a club set.
