About this release
Dub Acid completes Akio Nagase's trilogy for Emotional Especial, following Global Acid and African Acid with a set focused on his relationship with reggae and dub. The Osaka producer, also known for his Makedub work, combines acid lines and recurring vocal hooks with live desk mixing. Night Time High Acid interweaves harmonica and a low-end pulse, while Creation Dub shifts towards a four-to-the-floor house rhythm with echoing voices, keys and horns. Harmonica Dub closes with mouth organ over a dub-techno stepper, bringing the record's blues-inflected melodic elements into its spacious electronic setting.
