About this release
I'm Still In Love With You brings Al Green's voice together with Willie Mitchell's production on nine songs originally released by Hi Records in 1972. The title track, Love And Happiness and Look What You Done For Me sit alongside the quieter Simply Beautiful, giving the album a balance of rhythmic drive and close, conversational singing. Green lets phrases stretch and settle into the arrangements, moving between tenderness and a more insistent delivery without losing the music's relaxed pace. This Fat Possum reissue presents the original album programme on one black vinyl LP, ending with One Of These Good Old Days.
