About this release
Alan Braxe and Fred Falke revisit Intro for its 25th anniversary, pairing the 2023 remaster with new remixes by both producers. First released in 2000, the original combines an elegant melodic feel with the rhythmic clarity of French house. Falke’s version adds a newly recorded bassline and moves towards a more spacious, cosmic and dub-influenced sound. Braxe’s remix takes a rougher approach, drawing on the directness of a hotel-room edit and the history of the style they helped shape. The three versions place the original beside two personal reinterpretations, with each producer returning to the recording from a different perspective.
