About this release
Frequency 2025 returns to Altern 8’s 1991 recording through four new interpretations. Mark Archer joins Shadow Child for the M.A.S.C remix, taking the track into tougher house territory, while DJ Jonay draws on the breakbeat language of early rave. The reverse pairs an Aries remix with Kin’s Back to 92 Remix, extending the record’s reach into drum and bass. These versions place different rhythmic approaches around the same source material, connecting the original’s rave identity with the producers’ later club sounds. Network Records gathers the four mixes on one twelve-inch, with a two-track sequence on each side.
