About this release
Annahstasia’s debut album Tether brings her resonant voice and poetic folk songwriting into arrangements that move from spare intimacy to fuller strings, horns and percussion. Recorded in live takes at Valentine Studios in Los Angeles, it features producers Jason Lader, Andrew Lappin and Aaron Liao. Obongjayar joins ‘Slow’, while aja monet contributes to ‘All Is. Will Be. As It Was.’. Across 11 songs, Annahstasia considers love, disappointment and self-discovery, with the restrained opening of ‘Be Kind’ giving way to broader instrumental settings. This drink sum wtr edition presents the album on red-clay coloured vinyl.
