About this release
Another Channel’s [dub] Excursion[s] brings roots dub and dub techno together through analogue production and live mixing. Echo, reverb and low-frequency pressure shape the music, with meditative rhythms leaving space for chords and fragments of melodica. The approach draws on the sound of Rhythm & Sound while retaining the Augsburg producer’s own sense of swing and texture. Across the album, heavy chord stabs and overdriven details give way to spacious passages and feedback trails, keeping the arrangements in motion without crowding them. Babe Roots closes the record with a remix of “Run”, returning to the opening material from a different dub perspective.
