About this release
Total Blue member Anthony Calonico makes his solo debut with Spacious Heart on Music From Memory. Written and recorded between 2020 and 2024, the album allows songs and instrumentals to develop through an open, gradual process. Warm keyboards and synthesizers create space around melodies, drawing together ambient textures, spiritual jazz and restrained songwriting. Calonico’s voice gives the record a more personal focus than his trio work, moving between the instrumental passages with a quiet, expressive delivery. Sleeve artwork and design come from Michael Willis, accompanying an album built around the interplay of song, texture and atmosphere.
