About this release
Aphex Twin’s Blackbox Life Recorder 21f / in a room7 F760 combines sombre ambient chords with intricate drum programming across four tracks. Originally released by Warp in 2023, the EP moves from the title piece through “zin2 test5” and “in a room7 F760” to “Blackbox Life Recorder 22 [Parallax Mix]”. Melodic detail and densely layered rhythms remain central to Richard D. James’ approach. This WAP480EP standard edition presents the four-track vinyl programme on black 12-inch vinyl, with a printed inner sleeve and artwork by Weirdcore.
