About this release
Ari Bald and CJ Scott bring their shared interest in Chicago disco house to Big Love, with a sound that draws on the sample-led approach of DJ Sneak. Spoon Bait opens around a hazy vocal hook, deep bass and dub effects. Tuborg Translate sharpens the pace with chopped soul fragments and crisp drums, before the title track introduces warm strings and brass. Kenneth Knaster closes on a more relaxed groove of sweeping strings, skippy beats and vocal effects. The EP connects four different arrangements through a consistent feel for disco rhythm.
