About this release
Aroop Roy’s DJ Weapons Special Edition Part 1 arrives on vinyl as a focused set of disco edits, hip-hop flips and club-ready reworks from the selector’s own record bag. Built with DJs in mind, it sits between nu-disco, funk, house pressure and party-starting edit culture without feeling like a generic tools record.
Across six cuts, Roy moves from the loved-up pulse of Gonna Make You Mine to the classic heat of Cross The Tracks, reshaping familiar energy into flexible dancefloor material. It is direct, useful and characterful, the sort of record that can lift a warm-up, sharpen a party set or bridge disco, house and hip-hop corners with ease.
