About this release
Be With brings together two extended remixes of Arthur Russell’s ‘In The Light Of The Miracle’, developed from the sessions surrounding ‘Another Thought’. Danny Krivit and Tony Smith handle the A-side remix, with editing by Tony Morgan, stretching the recording through additional percussion. Morgan’s ‘Ponytail Club Mix (Parts 1 & 2)’ takes the reverse in a more direct house direction, bringing the vocals forward and adding a four-to-the-floor kick. It also includes passages from guest poet Allen Ginsberg. Simon Francis remastered both recordings, with Cicely Balston cutting the twelve-inch at Alchemy at AIR Studios. The sleeve features photography by Janette Beckman.
