About this release
Ashaye’s ‘Dreaming’ and ‘What’s This World Coming To’ bring two V4 Visions recordings together on a South Street International twelve-inch. Originally released in 1991 and 1994, the songs connect to the street soul heard across London’s pirate radio stations, drawing together soul vocals, R&B and hip-hop influences. ‘Dreaming’ appears in its Original and Jungle mixes, placing the vocal song alongside its breakbeat-led treatment. The reverse pairs the Original version of ‘What’s This World Coming To’ with the Instrumental. Across four tracks, the release presents both songs and their alternative versions in one programme.
