Şatellites’ self-titled album moves between traditional Turkish folk, psychedelic guitar, funk and disco, reworking classic Anatolian sounds with vivid dancefloor energy. Electric saz, bağlama, bouzouki, synths and percussion give the record its distinctive character, honouring the golden era of Turkish music while opening it to a contemporary audience. The ten-track debut includes ‘Big Baglama’, ‘Disko Arabesque’ and ‘Seni Sen Olduğun İçin Sevdim’, alongside interpretations of repertoire associated with Kamuran Akkor and Zafer Dilek. Released on Batov Records, it brings the group’s interest in traditional instruments together with the rhythm of a modern band.
