About this release
Aubrey revisits the Cheap Knob Gags catalogue with six tracks on Solid Groove. The collection draws on recordings from 1995 to 1999, moving between raw house loops, tribal percussion and tightly wound techno.
At The Crack Of Dawn, Bell Ringer and Does He Rent It Out fill the first side. Getting Your Palm Read, Manhole and Manhood follow on the reverse, bringing together the label’s restless mix of heavier rhythms and off-centre details.
