About this release
Audrey Hall brings a warm lovers-rock approach to “Woman In Love”, recasting the familiar Barbra Streisand song in a mid-eighties rub-a-dub setting. This Planets seven-inch was prepared in direct collaboration with Donovan Germain, drawing on his original multitracks for previously unreleased mixes. Hall's vocal leads the A-side, with Germain's “Woman In Dub” on the flip. The pairing gives the song two complementary forms: the melodic focus of the vocal and the additional space opened up by the dub, with the original rhythm connecting the two.
