About this release
Drawing on her time playing parties in Paris and current base Brussels, fusing disco, Latino, soulful and deep house vibes, Baka G follows a couple of 12" successes on French label Happiness Therapy with a fresh new cut on Plastik People. 'G Stands For Groove' and 'Jack's Jam' on A-side both roll on knotted basslines that are pure disco, only sleeker and sharpened for late night dancefloor action.
On the flip, 'Mama Lava' raises energy levels with heftier kicks and sultry Spanish vocals, before 'Maracaipe' closes things with lush instrumentation and altogether more cosmic outlook. Summer warmth to winter dancefloors.
