Beppe Loda - Discoscurock

Beppe Loda brings four cosmic edits to Disco Mind's tenth release, drawing on the music that shaped his time at Italy's Typhoon club in the 1980s. Discoscurock moves between disco, rock and jazz-funk, with loose-limbed grooves and spacey synths giving each cut its own character. It's a selection that reflects Loda's broad approach to the dancefloor, with guitars sitting comfortably alongside electronic textures.

Mr Rocket opens with a chugging early-eighties groove, followed by the synth-led space rock of Tu Sei. On the flip, Falling steers towards spiralling disco-rock before Marzio brings the set home with more guitar riffs and drifting keys. Four edits across a 12-inch, made for adventurous disco selections.
