About this release
Black Electric is Karl Fultz's Detroit project with vocalists Tiffany Elliott, Kim Glover and Talena Fultz, first released through Puzzlebox in 2000. This Terrestrial Funk edition revisits the group's vocal electro with updated mixes of Black Electric and Come To Me, alongside the original turn-of-the-millennium mix of Colors. It also adds Purple, a chugging acid track, and a full club version of Work That, which appeared as an a cappella on the original release. Inspired in part by Eurythmics, the project connects synthesizer-led songs, bass and dancefloor rhythms across the five-track record.
