Black Sheep - Strobelite Honey

Strobelite Honey shows the playful side of Black Sheep, the Native Tongues duo of Dres and Mr. Lawnge. Drawn from their 1991 album A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing, the song tells a nightclub story over disco samples rather than the jazz-heavy backdrops often associated with their peers. The Maybe We Did Mix reshapes the track with sharper horn parts and a different beat, giving the same narrative another rhythmic setting. This Mr Bongo 7-inch pairs that remix on the A-side with the original version on the reverse, keeping the two versions clearly separated.
