About this release
Bobby Thorpe and Psychederek join forces for the second Via Jupiter release, developing ideas from a series of winter studio sessions. Their approach draws on late-eighties club records, with stripped-back production keeping rhythm and melodic detail in focus. The EP moves through Strobes, the title track, Let’s Go To The Disco and Orange Dream, connecting cosmic disco and Balearic influences with a direct house feel. Ben Brumpton supplies the artwork and label design. The collaboration brings Thorpe’s Behind The Groove background together with Psychederek’s own imprint, presenting their shared studio work as a compact set for the dancefloor.
