About this release
Boogie Vice and N-You-Up join Robert Owens for Blessing on Fossils, pairing their original production with a Nenor remix. Owens' vocal carries a message of gratitude over a deep house arrangement built from funk-influenced bass, sampled textures and warm keys. Nenor takes the song towards a more enclosed, basement atmosphere, adding organic detail and a heavier rhythmic feel. The two versions place the same vocal in different settings, keeping its soulful character at the centre while shifting the surrounding groove. Both appear here across one side each on the 12-inch.
