About this release
Bror Havnes brings his experience as Flammer Dance Band’s saxophonist into a solo release that combines live improvisation with electronic rhythm. De Som Vet develops through percussion, drum machines, synthesizers and saxophone, with extended arrangements giving each part room to shift around the groove. The title track occupies the first side, while De Vet and Solfall continue the exploration on the reverse. Havnes draws on jazz playing and a wide-ranging DJ background, connecting organic instrumental gestures with a more cosmic electronic setting. The result moves between detailed rhythmic interplay and sustained melodic passages without losing its dancefloor direction.
