About this release
Buttechno’s X-Berg Dubs 2 filters club rhythms through rough textures, delay and dub space. Dark Loop opens with blurred drums, overdriven echoes and ghostly guitar details, followed by the fractured, glitch-like atmosphere of L Dub. On the reverse, 2080 Dub lets garage-style chords drift through layers of echo and decay, while Stone Dub closes with a more stripped-back dub approach. Squashed breaks and hints of jungle sit alongside dub techno without settling into a single rhythmic pattern. Across the record, Pavel Milyakov lets the sounds fray at the edges, keeping the movement of the grooves within a hazy, inward-looking mix.
