About this release
Casey Spillman joins Hessle Audio with Petunia, a four-track EP that draws together his interests in jungle, garage and ambient music. The Essex producer balances the physical weight of bass and drums with more open, atmospheric passages, extending the sound developed through his Temperature label and earlier releases on Infuse.
Lonely, Petunia, Only U and Truly form a concise statement of that broader direction, moving between introspective detail and club energy. Written, produced and mixed by Spillman, the EP was mastered and cut by Matt Colton at Metropolis Studios in London.
