About this release
Syncopated keyboard riffs give Walking Into Sunshine its buoyant character, placing Central Line’s early-eighties British funk firmly on the dance floor. The groove is presented here in Larry Levan’s Special Mix, with another version of the song on the reverse. The pairing gives the song’s insistent keyboard hook room to work, with the extended treatment drawing out the rhythmic appeal that links the group’s funk sound to disco.
