About this release
Chaos In The CBD bring a group of jazz and house collaborators into this three-track Neroli EP. Emotional Intelligence fills the first side, with fellow New Zealander Nathan Haines on saxophone and Dave Koor contributing to the arrangement. On the reverse, the duo work with Chicago songwriter Lee Pearson Jnr, vocalist K. LaDawn and keyboard player Joe Armon-Jones on It’s Up To Me. Vocal and instrumental versions share that side, offering two perspectives on the same production. The record connects the brothers’ deep house approach with live playing and a Chicago vocal tradition, keeping the collaborative performances in focus.
