About this release
Chieko Beauty’s Make Me Know It returns on Hawara International, revisiting an early chapter of Japanese reggae and lovers rock on 7" vinyl.
Originally released in the early 1990s, the record pairs Beauty’s restrained vocals with production by Miyazaki Izumi, better known as Dub Master X. A subtle interpolation of Manuel Göttsching’s E2-E4 links its warm reggae arrangement to a different strand of electronic music. The vocal cut is backed with Make Me Know It (Version).
