About this release
Chris Stussy’s debut album unfolds through three chapters reflecting different parts of his creative process. Lost revisits unfinished ideas and recordings that had not previously found a home; Found centres on collaboration and the exchange of inspiration; Forgotten turns towards deeper cuts and less immediate discoveries. Vocal contributions include Elena Moroder, KUČKA, Jessica Care Moore, Leanne Louise, Tropics and Tom Did It. Across the sequence, house grooves sit alongside breaks, ambient passages and drum and bass. The album’s kite imagery expresses the balance between musical freedom and a grounding in rhythm that connects these contrasting approaches.
