About this release
Confidence Man's third album 3AM (La La La) brings the group's pop songwriting into contact with nineties UK rave sounds. Shaped by their move to London and involvement in its club scene, the record moves between house rhythms, breakbeats and larger-scale electronic arrangements. 'I Can't Lose You', 'So What' and 'Control' sit alongside the Sweetie Irie collaboration 'Real Move Touch', with the title track closing the twelve-song programme. Released through CHAOS/Polydor and I OH YOU, the album follows Tilt and keeps Janet Planet, Sugar Bones, Reggie Goodchild and Clarence McGuffie's collaborative approach at its centre.
