Shame takes Evelyn 'Champagne' King's song on the first side, easing its pace while retaining the original vocal and disco character. To The Rhythm turns to Grace Jones' Slave To The Rhythm on the reverse, reshaping the Trevor Horn-produced recording for DJ use. The two-sided twelve-inch gives each rework its own side, continuing the Tuff Cut series' focus on familiar songs in alternative club arrangements. The pairing connects King's disco groove with Jones' distinctive vocal and rhythmic production through Late Nite Tuff Guy's edit approach.
