This Crooklyn Dodgers 7-inch pairs recordings from two versions of the New York hip-hop collective. Buckshot, Masta Ace and Special Ed feature on the first side, while Chubb Rock, Jeru the Damaja and O.C. take over for Return Of The Crooklyn Dodgers.

Both recordings were made for Spike Lee film soundtracks in the mid-1990s. The first brings fluid verses to a rolling boom-bap backing; the return is a piano-led cut produced by DJ Premier. Together they capture two line-ups of the project, connecting distinct voices through their accounts of city life.
