About this release
Our Life With The Wave revisits musical ideas shared by Mike Huckaby and Stephen Hitchell during their work on Model 500’s “Starlight” remixes in 2008. Using wavetables supplied by Huckaby, cv313 develops a sequence of deep textures, sweeps and low-frequency movement rooted in Detroit dub techno. The original mix is joined by Federsen’s live dub, a joint cv313 and Federsen version, and a closing Intrusion dub. Redesigned between 2022 and 2024, the four-track EP honours Huckaby through the sounds he created. This Echospace twelve-inch edition is pressed on coloured vinyl.
