Cymande - Cymande

Cymande's self-titled debut brings together funk, soul and Caribbean influences in a sound shaped by its British-based, Caribbean-born musicians. The nine-track album includes Bra, The Message and the extended Dove, moving between vocal pieces and instrumental passages. Originally part of the band's early-1970s run of albums, the music found a lasting audience among soul collectors, DJs and later generations of producers. This Partisan reissue was remastered at Abbey Road Studios. Catalogue number PTKF3025-1 identifies the black vinyl edition, carrying the sequence from Zion I to Ras Tafarian Folk Song.
