About this release
Cynthia Sheeler’s I’ll Cry Over You returns through an official reissue from the J.B.’s Records catalogue. Originally released in 1975, the recording belongs to the Southern soul tradition around Baton Rouge, with Sheeler’s vocal carrying a crossover arrangement. The reissue makes a previously scarce single available again for listeners exploring the label’s catalogue. This seven-inch uses the black-label presentation and black sleeve described for the release, retaining the song’s place in the label’s soul catalogue.
