About this release
Butterfly brings Dan Snaith’s Daphni project through disco-house cut-ups, jazz-influenced grooves and more spacious electronic passages. Sad Piano House sets a melodic opening, while Waiting So Long connects the project with Snaith’s Caribou alias through his own vocal. Across the album, club-focused rhythms sit alongside shorter interludes and less direct turns, moving from the restless feel of Lucky to the rolling groove of Miles Smiles. Written and produced by Snaith and mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis, the album follows Cherry on his Jiaolong label. This black-vinyl double LP contains the original sixteen-track programme.
