Daphni - Butterfly

Since debuting the Daphni alias 14 years ago, long-serving Canadian electronic musician Dan Snaith has largely used it as a vehicle for his more expressively dancefloor-focused productions. On Butterfly, his first Daphni full-length in three years, Snaith continues in this peak-time-focused, festival-ready vein, flitting between melancholic jazz piano-sporting chunkiness, Soundstream style disco-house cut-ups, spaced-out experimental digi-dub, revivalist disco joy, and bouncy, jazz-flecked deep house bump.
